The World Economic Forum’s Clean Skies for Tomorrow (CST) initiative, established in 2019, is a coalition across aviation’s value chain working to facilitate the transition to NetZero flying by mid-century. In partnership with ambitious senior leadership across industry, government, and civil society, this public-private partnership is driving a shift to zero-emissions aviation through sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) and other clean propulsion technologies.
In order to overcome supply bottlenecks and to properly accelerate the use of sustainable aviation fuels, the SAF refiners must ensure sufficient long-term availability of sustainable, advanced and waste-based biofeedstocks.
